The Diligence Office is always a hive of activity on the run up to Christmas. Since 2012 not a year has gone by without taking on the challenge of creating a Christmas Campaign to engage with the general public.
In November 2015 we were approached by South West Trains to manage their Christmas campaign with the goal of building up their database of prospective customers.
We set about creating a theme, "24 Carriages of Christmas" with free entry to a daily prize draw. The prizes ranged from theatre tickets to smart phones. At the same time we sold draw tickets for all 24 prizes with 100% of the ticket revenue going to four chosen charities that South West Trains supports.
The campaign was focussed on a microsite which handled both the free and paid draws, incorporating animated graphics and a simple ecommerce solution for payment. This was supported by a small content management system for managing signup and payment tracking as well as providing a statistical overview of the site visits, signups and sales in real time.
Social media and eMarketing were the only channels used to promote the campaign.
30,000 emails collected and a very healthy cheque for the charities. The campaign was very well received by the client and its success has helped to formulate new campaigns and promotions. The campaign proved such a great success that South West Trains, asked us, to re-design and run the campaign again in December 2016.
